US shopping guide · Reviewed October 8, 2026
If you do not know a child’s Little Sleepies size, ask the caregiver for the exact style and current measurements, or let them choose the garment. Guessing a larger pajama size can create a poor fit. A surprise print is easier to change than an unsuitable garment.
Choose a gift using the information you actually have
| What you know | Practical next step | What to avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Exact style and size requested | Confirm the same style, print and delivery timing. | Substituting another cut because its age label matches. |
| Only the child’s age | Ask for a current measurement or let the caregiver choose. | Assuming age alone establishes fit. |
| Size is completely unknown | Consider an e-gift card if the recipient shops with the brand. | Buying final-sale pajamas just because the discount is larger. |
| A future occasion | Agree on when the garment will be worn; consider choosing closer to that date. | Expecting a larger garment to be suitable for immediate sleep. |
Do not size up snug-fitting sleepwear for immediate use
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission’s sleepwear guidance explains the importance of the snug-fit label on non-flame-resistant sleepwear. Follow the garment’s label and size chart; do not deliberately choose a loose fit to create growing room. If measurements do not fit the chart clearly, ask the brand for help.
Our Little Sleepies sizing guide explains the checks to make once you have measurements. This gift guide is for deciding what to buy when those measurements are missing.
Check return eligibility before choosing a discount
Little Sleepies’ FAQ says eligible returns must be made within 30 days of purchase. Sale items, international orders and certain other purchases are final sale. It also confirms that e-gift cards are available. Check the exact item and gift-return process before ordering; a gift card is not a promise of a cash refund.
Write the purchase date and recipient’s occasion date together. If the gift will be opened after the return period, an apparently flexible purchase may not be flexible in practice. Keep the order details and ask how the recipient can contact support without needing your account credentials.
A useful message to send the caregiver
“I’d like to buy a Little Sleepies gift. Which style and size currently fit, and is there a print you prefer? If you’d rather choose, I can give a gift card.” This gives the recipient a choice without making them disclose more information than needed.
For another approach, use our baby registry checklist. For discounts, read the sale-versus-coupon comparison before treating a markdown as the best gift option.
